Re: Frontends cannot be opened in RW mode

Post by cata »

To be honest I am not sure how it is for dm500. I have a gigablue but the /dev/ci is not really compatible with dvben50221. Try the gigablue binary.

The point is that the hardware might be too slow to decrypt channels with dvbcsa.

Do you want ca0 device or oscam?
Thanks

Hi cata,

sorry for me english. I am Slovakia. I think you still do not understand.
Discuss this in theory. DM500 It was an example. I have SH4 GM triplex(spark or enigma).
Minisatip I tested only on Linux PC, It works perfectly.
If you were running minisatip on GM triplex, does not have CI_slot. And also would not support libdvbcsa-software descramble.
It would be called /dev/dvb/adapter0/ca0(n)

Code: Select all

[root@stlinux]#ls /dev/dvb/adapter0/
ca0 ca1 ca2 ca3 demux0 demux1 demux2 demux3 swap0
for hw descramble???
Oscam would be used only as a cardreader and not in connection with dvbcsa.

I just cross-compiled minisatip for my sh4 based Atemio and Kathrein sat receivers. When I start it I see that the 2 tuners in this box cannot be opened in RW mode. Is there anything I can do about that?

In the Makefile I have disabled CSA and CA:

Hi,

The problem ywapp.exe uses your tuners.

Try to kill it and send me the logs?

What kernel version do you have?

If minisatip run on PC(ubuntu, orangepi+usb dvbs card) its ok.

Thanks cata, works.
FTA ok.
But how to descramble?
Now I'm not working at the client-dvbviewer+hadu plugin. Hadu it looks ok-ECM,DCW ok. But I darkness.
Minisatip I compiled as follows:

I am not sure that your receiver will be able to decrypt HD channels with libdvbapi, but you can try by compiling libdvbcsa and use
./configure --host=sh4-streamboard-linux-gnu

once you have libdvbcsa.a move it to minisatip directory, and move also the include files to your sh4 gcc include directory.

Once you have then u can change in the Makefile of minisatip DVBCSA=1 and run make again...(make sure to clean before that).

What is the speed of the cpu ?

I am not sure that can handle decryption of HD channels.
