Start parameter -t / --cleanpsi

Post by BobW »

Hello,

I have successfully set up a server with minisatip and oscam using a tbs-6981 (dual tuner) DVB-S2 card on Ubuntu 16.04.

minisatip: 0.5.64
OSCAM: svn 11279

The two applications work together as expected, FTA is not a problem.

Using encrypted channels it turns out minisatip with "--cleanpsi" is not working as expected or at least as I would have expected according to the --help output: On the client I use VDR 2.2.0 with vtuner and the satip-client application, I tried vdr-plugin-satip with the same result. Tuning to an encrypted channel VDR tells me "channel not available", of course. After editing the channel to FTA on VDR it works, minisatip/OSCAM do the decryption on the server, but the CA-information is still forwarded to VDR which in turn updates the channel leading to "channel not available". Only after turning off the channel updates on VDR and setting the channels to FTA again it works fine.

Is there something I overlooked/missed?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I think most of the people use vdr with vdr-plugin-satip.
I also think you should not use -t.

If it does not work let me know.
Thanks

Thank you for the tip. Using the VDR plugin everything is working now as expected.

However, I still wonder what the -t option is really for?

I am not really sure of it's utility. Probably works for VLC.

Thanks
