Hi,

as I said mutant seems to support only 14 pid filters, which is very very low. Nothing I can do about that, as it is related to driver / hw.

If you want, upload a log about step 4:
1) start minisatip
2) do test 4
3) close minisatip and upload log.

Thanks

Hi,

I understand, but I don't know why AuroraTV has no problems to filter FTA channels, while in DVBViewer Pro I don't have to set FTA filter in order to get the correct amount of channels. Maybe the way of scanning is different? (using homing channel instead of transponderlists). See attachment with log for HD2400.

I don't know how many pid filters are really neccessary for SAT>IP, as the longest URL I have contains 15 pids which is processed correctly by the Mutant:

rtsp://192.168.0.4:554/?freq=514.75&bw=8&msys=dvbc&mtype=256qam&sr=6900&specinv=1&pids=0,16,17,18,20,2000,2001,2011,2012,2101,2102,2103,2201,4951,4952

Normally we have the following pids: video, audio, PMT, PCR, Teletext and EPG which is around 15 pids. Or are there more (hidden) pids which has to be processed?

Here's the log for step 4 (Dreambox no signal in AuroraTV). How many pids can this device handle?

Thanks for helping! I will ask Mutant if they can increase the amount of accepted pids, if possible in driver.

For mutant:

[30/07 11:38:41.592 main]: failed setting filter on 4100 (Operation not supported), enabled pids 11
[30/07 11:38:41.592 main]: Maximum pid filter reached, lowering the value to 8

The DM failed because of:

[30/07 11:34:02.509 main]: tuning to 164000000 sr:6900000 specinv: delsys:dvbc mod: ts clear = 101998
[30/07 11:34:02.512 main]: dvb_tune: set property failed 22 Invalid argument

Can you leave the tunel up to check ?

Thanks

I got an answer from Mutant about pid filtering: We have no restriction with PID limitation which you want to insinuate.
With channelscan in AuroraTV it finds all channels with correct flag for FTA/encrypted, so probably it uses another approach than DVBViewer Pro.
Maybe the tuner of the HD2400 has to be set in DVB-C mode instead of hybrid mode DVB-T/T2/C to accept more pids?

I checked around 40 pid filters for dreambox and it works.

The problem with Aurora is that is not sending mtype=64qam . The mutant tuner can find automatically the modulation but the dreambox driver does not allow the modulation to be set as auto. Aurora should set this parameter.

You can open a bug to them.

The packet contains:

SETUP rtsp://192.168.0.4:554/?freq=164.000&msys=dvbc&sr=6900&pids=0,1,16,17,18,20

(no mtype=... parameter inside).

Thanks

About mutant I can get you a log to send them, if you turn it on.

Hi cata, thanks for your effort. Much appreciated! In return I will donate you again today!

About Mutant: could the restriction of pid filtering be in OpenATV instead of in hardware as Mutant says it has no limitation?
Anyway, the unit is powered on so you could make a log for them. ;)

Remains the question why AuroraTV can detect the FTA flag correctly and DVBViewer Pro not. Maybe because AuroraTV doesn't specify specinv parameter which means autodetect? Probably the SAT>IP protocol isn't clear enough if some settings are mandatory or not so programmers interpret it differently...

Thanks

About mutant, yes it could be from openatv. I am not sure about si2169 but it's highly unlikely for it to have just 10 hardware pid filters. probably is from OpenATV. I am not sure how much support u can get from OpenATV team, but it might be safer to install the standard mutant firmware and to test on that one.

On mutant is hard to differentiate between apps with low number of filters. Depends on the way the scanning is done.
Spencinv does not matter (auto is fine).

Hi cata, just did a donation for your help and upcoming ci+ support!
I will look for another image. Can you provide a log in case I need it for OpenATV team? Thanks again!
