Hi tunip, okay, thanks! Now it's clear to me!
Thanks for your reply about Plex! Always nice to know. Have fun with your combination of Plex and minisatip!
HDHomeRun emulator using minisatip?
Re: HDHomeRun emulator using minisatip?
hi,
just a side note - I am beta testing Plex DVR since the beginning and right now they added SAT>IP support. For my Octopus A8 (DVBC2) it works fine, but for minisatip there are some quirks. (they call the msys=dvbc instead of msys=dvbc2, and that works on the Octopus but not in minisat from how I read the logs)
However, once this is solved, it will work I guess.
Cheers

Re: HDHomeRun emulator using minisatip?
Hi Cata,
I did some more research .. and I guess not (Unitymedia = DVB-C). I played more, and there must be something different in how minisatip answers the plex rtsp calls compared to the octopus.
If you are interested, I can zip a log (tell me the -l level you want) and show you what minisatip receives. I made sure I can watch TV via VLC->minisatip.

Re: HDHomeRun emulator using minisatip?
Hi Cata,
see: https://paste.ee/p/142Yk
I put 10.000 lines there, it seems to have a repeating pattern. Note - I use parameter -s dvbc:IP-OF-OCTOPUSNET to have something that Minisatip can provide (fwd mode). Not sure if this could also be the reason.
PlexDVR comes from ip 192.168.242.2, the .35 is my notebook and .43 my OctopusNet.
If you want me to try different params please let me know. Also happy to test build/patch and build binaries myself here.

Re: HDHomeRun emulator using minisatip?
Hi,
could you compile 0.7-ca branch and run with -l http ?
git clone https://github.com/catalinii/minisatip -b 0.7-ca
Does plex need some type of subscription ?
Thanks

Re: HDHomeRun emulator using minisatip?
Hello Cata,
yes. It does, you need to have a "Plex Pass" membership to use the DVR functions. But SAT>IP and tuner support is under closed beta (which I am a part of). I will see when I get the bin built today, first some family time today Will post logs once done.
Kind regards,

Re: HDHomeRun emulator using minisatip?
Hi cata,
here is the next attempt: https://paste.ee/p/ud7zD
It says v 0.7.6 in the start, so I assume it is the right binary thats used now (I built a new deb via debtools).
Please let me know if this is sufficient.
Cheers
