Llittle box for stream 4 muxes

Post by zorrua »

Hello,

I have a Raspberry Pi 2 for stream 2 mux with 2 DVB-T USB devices. It really works great, but when streaming more than 3 or 4 streams it get 100% of CPU.

I want to add 2 more DVB-T USB devices to the box, but it couldn't handle more streams.

Does someone use a little kind of Raspberry PI box with minisatip? Something like OrangePi, BananaPi Rock64 devices...

I will appreciate your help.

Kind regards.

I know orange pi h3 is used. If your problem is the USB bandeidth as all the ports from RPI share one port from the CPU, then any of them would make a difference. My advice is to try something based on ARM v8 ( cortex a53 or higher).

Probably rock64 would be good as you have usb3 + 2 usb2 and you could a USB hub, however not 100% sure aboutreliability.

With orange pi pc 2 you have 3 USB + 1 USB otg. I think your statement of 2 devices for each USB port is fair.

Rock64 because it has more than 1 USB port connected to the SOC
