Digibit R1 > 5W - DVB-S2X?

Post by fergycool »

Has anybody got the Telestar Digitbit R1 pointing to a DVB-S2X stream?

Now I may be completely mistaken but DVB-S2X and PLS and DVB-S2 Multistream are all the same. Right?

According to this issue on the Github repository of the alternative firmware for the Digibit R1: satip-axe, then the hardware and firmware support it.

https://github.com/perexg/satip-axe/issues/126

My intention is to point a dish to 5W and get the unencrypted TNT Sat channels which are transmitted in DVB-S2X.

Am I along the right lines or not?

Cheers,

Well I bought a new dish, pointed it at 5W... and now I cannot get SATIP-AXE to boot. The Digibit R1 boots fine with the stock firmware, but that does not support multistream. But the SATIP-AXE boots with the flashing LEDs, but will not acquire an IP address. Iv'e tried multiple hardware resets. Multiple USB sticks and all fail.

Just wondered if anybody had any experience with satip-axe, the Digibit R1 and DVB-S2X/PLS multi streams? Specifically the Fransat channels on 5W.

Thanks!
