Hello again,
I'm trying to access both tuners in my VU+ ULTIMO via UNICABLE.
Unicable works (when not using the minisatip) - but when starting minisatip - it recognises the setup - the first tuner works fine - but no signal on the second tuner ...
This is how I start minisatip
./minisatip -1 2 -f -e 0-1 -u 0:0-1076,1:1-1178
I also tried "-1 2,2" - but this didn't help.
Any ideas?
VU+ ULTIMO - UniCable
Re: VU+ ULTIMO - UniCable
.
If you run:
-u 1:0-1076,0:1-1178
Does yhe girst adapyer work?

Re: VU+ ULTIMO - UniCable
Yep
-u 1:0-1076,0:1-1178 works and
-u 0:0-1076,1:1-1178 works too
But when I try two parallel clients, only the first client get's a signal.
I'm using a loop-back-cable (from TunerA out to TunerB in) ... when configuring Enigma2 I can tell the configuration, that I TunerB ist connected to TunerA via loopback-cable - otherwise UniCable would not work.
Is there a equivalent configuration für minisatip?

Re: VU+ ULTIMO - UniCable
You mean if you run it with those parameters and stream one channel and when you request second channel the first stops?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: VU+ ULTIMO - UniCable
Yes ...
1) I start one instance of minisatip having two tuners (and UNICABLE).
2) The first client I start - e.g. vlc - works fine.
3) Than I start a second client - e.g. a second vlc on a different sat-channel - the first vlc still works, the second vlc has no image.
The minisatip Web Interface shows that the first device has a signal, the second device has no sat signal.
I also tried two separate minisatip instances, each on a different port - and each with dedicated device and unicable configuration.
One client connects to the port of the first minisatip server, the second client connects to the port of the second minisatip server.
Whichever client starts up first, get's the signal, the client I start second, has no signal. The order of devices does not matter ...

Re: VU+ ULTIMO - UniCable
I did some tests on Enigma2 ... there is an option for UniCable called connected / Connected to ... if I don't set this option (on ether TunerA or TubenB), only one tuner works.
Is there an equivalent option for minisatip?

Re: VU+ ULTIMO - UniCable
Okay ... after some investigation, I believe the correct option would be "-S 0:1" (slave configuration).
Although I still do not get a picture - but I think that is ether the low-speed of the CPU of the VU+ Ultimo - or maybe the low-speed of my network interface, But now, I do see a signal on the web interface on both tuners.

Re: VU+ ULTIMO - UniCable
Generally the boxes delivered with mips cpu are not that powerful.
The new code with -S sends all the changes to band, unicable and so on thru the "master" tuner.
